Carioca Breezy

A Local Resident's Food Truck - Sete Cidades, Azores

Locally Rooted. Garden Fresh. A Resident-Run Food Truck Grown Here.

Carioca Breezy is a community-based initiative, a vibrant garden lounge nestled in our home at the heart of Sete Cidades, blending the laid-back spirit of Rio’s beach culture with the natural charm and abundance of the Azores. More than just a food truck, it’s a place for renewal—serving handcrafted açaí bowls with an Azorean twist, refreshing iced teas made from São Miguel’s native herbs and displaying artworks. Created and and built with our own hands using repurposed materials, Carioca Breezy offers a relaxed, eco-conscious space where travelers and residents can pause, recharge, and reconnect with the moment. Whether you’re sipping tea beneath the crater’s sky, journaling in a quiet corner, appreciating art, or simply enjoying the breeze to the sound of a curated Brazilian playlist, this is a place where time slows down and island life truly begins.

FLOWER POWER

Sunflower used as a token for making orders at Carioca Breezy, Sete Cidades — symbol of mindful hospitality.

At Carioca Breezy, everything starts by picking a sunflower from the dedicated pot in our gardenonly with it in hand you can place your order. If there are no sunflowers available (we have only 5), it’s time to practice patience and wait for them to “bloom” again before offering one to us. It also helps us keep the right pace so every person can enjoy a real moment in our garden. It’s a simple way to remind everyone that connections, like flowers, have their own timing: we want to welcome each person slowly, learn your name, and share instead of just serve.

NO FLOWER. NO ORDER :)

“Built by us, shaped by community, and wrapped in the breeze of a volcanic crater, this is more than a food truck—it’s a gentle rebellion against the rush. You’re not just welcome. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be”

Carioca Breezy Menu

Where Azorean flavors meet tropical soul.

At Carioca Breezy, every bite is a journey—from the Amazon to the Atlantic. Savor silky açaí topped with São Miguel’s golden honey and sun-ripened bananas. Toast your morning with pineapple refresher or sip iced tea infused with Azorean herbs and passion fruit.

Craving something warm? Try our shared meals slow-cooked on the fire pit. From pão de queijo bursting with local cheese to tropical lemonades and picnic baskets by the lake, every flavor tells a story—one born of volcanic soil, island sun, and a little Carioca soul.

Carioca Breezy
FoodBoat

Something the Azores has never seen before!

19.05.2026 Sete Cidades | The Carioca Breezy started as a food truck idea. Then we found the boat — a real Azorean fishing vessel, weathered by the sea — and everything changed. Now we're transforming it into something entirely its own: a Food Boat, permanently anchored in our garden. The first of its kind. Fresh flavors, Brazilian soul, island roots. We're building it now, right here in Sete Cidades. Hoping to welcome you aboard this summer 2026. Stay tuned!
