A home garden Art Food Truck initiated by residents
Carioca Breezy is a community-based initiative, a vibrant garden lounge nestled in our home at the heart of Sete Cidades, blending the laid-back spirit of Rio’s beach culture with the natural charm and abundance of the Azores. More than just a food truck, it’s a place for renewal and art—serving handcrafted açaí bowls with an Azorean twist, refreshing iced teas made from São Miguel’s native herbs and displaying artworks. Created and and built with our own hands using repurposed materials, Carioca Breezy offers an artistic, relaxed, eco-conscious space where travelers and residents can pause, recharge, and reconnect with the moment. Whether you’re sipping tea beneath the crater’s sky, journaling in a quiet corner, appreciating art, or simply enjoying the breeze to the sound of a curated Brazilian playlist, this is a place where time slows down and island life truly begins.
FLOWER POWER
At Carioca Breezy, everything starts by picking a sunflower from the dedicated pot in our garden — only with it in hand you can place your order. If there are no sunflowers available (we have only 5), it’s time to practice patience and wait for them to “bloom” again before offering one to us. It also helps us keep the right pace so every person can enjoy a real moment in our garden. It’s a simple way to remind everyone that connections, like flowers, have their own timing: we want to welcome each person slowly, learn your name, and share instead of just serve.

BUSINESS HOURS
We have no fixed hours — and that’s on purpose! Carioca Breezy is not a café or restaurant in the traditional sense. It’s a garden, a moment, a breeze. We open when life (and the weather) allows. If you’d like to visit, just call or message us first. If you find us closed, know it’s not personal — it’s just part of the flow. We’re not always available, and that’s part of the charm. This is a home, not a business model. We serve with heart, not by schedule. And we do it only when we want : )
ART STUDIO
Just a few steps from the Carioca Breezy garden, the Art Studio is a small creative space where local paintings take shape — a room lined with colorful works, sketch-filled tables, and the quiet mood of a lived-in atelier. On selected days, it opens its doors to visitors and food-truck guests, offering a glimpse into the artistic process behind the pieces displayed there. These open-door moments create an easy bridge between community, creativity, and hospitality, inviting everyone to experience Sete Cidades through a local artistic gaze.
